A wonderful walking experience in the Atlas Mountains. As well as exploring the atmospheric bazaar of old Marrakech, you'll enjoy the tranquil pace of life in the remote villages of the High Atlas. Easy day-walks will introduce you to mountain villages inhabited by the friendly Berber tribe, who still retain their traditional ways of life.
Once you've acclimatised, we'll set off on a trek deeper into the hills, through stunning mountains where life has stood still for centuries. At the end of the trip, we recommend an extension to the old coastal port of Essaouira or
- Day 1. Fly to Marrakech

- Marrakech; tour of bazaar and medina.
- Day 3. Imlil
- Drive to Imlil (Atlas village). Walk to Aremd; visit local school and learn to make 'tajine'.
- Day 4. Walk to holy shrine.
- Walk to holy shrine at Sidi Chamarouch.
- Day 5/6. Two day walk.
- Two day walk in the Atlas mountains with overnight stays in Berber villages. Arrive Oukaimeden.
- Day 7. Drive to Marrakech.
- Drive to Marrakech; free for shopping & souvenir hunting.
- Day 8. Fly to London.
- Extensions & tailor-making.
- If you have time, we highly recommend extending your stay to visit the atmospheric old port of Essaouira. The faded grandeur of its colonial past, countless craft shops and winding alleyways make it a must for travellers. It also offers the possibility of camel riding and beach relaxation.

- Although this is a walking trip, mules are available for children to ride. Accommodation in the mountains is in simple, traditional Berber houses, but in Marrakech we stay in a hotel.
