You start and end in Marrakech, allowing you plenty of time to explore the souks, and enjoy trekking and cycling through the Atlas Mountains, passing delightful Berber villages and stopping for cups of mint tea en route.

Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Depart UK & arrive Marrakech
Arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport and meet at the group hotel in the city. Relax or explore the surrounding area of Old Marrakech. -
Day 2: Marrakech City Tour, drive to Agafay Desert
Our guide shows us the magnificent Palais Bahia and leads us deep into the winding souks to see the expert craftworkers selling their produce.
After lunch, we drive out to the Agafay desert for a night under the stars.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Lala Takerkouste & Cycle to Ouirgane
We leave the desert behind and drive into the Atlas Mountains to Lake Lala Takerkouste.
On arrival, we pick up our bicycles and start our mountain adventure cycling along plateaus and mountain valleys to Ouirgane.

Day 4: Morning Cycle to Tizi Oussem & Afternoon Mule Trek to Aremd
This morning we cycle up the Azaden Valley past Berber villages built on to the mountain all the way up to misty Tizi Oussem. After lunch in the village, we meet our mules and trek over high mountain passes and through juniper forests to Aremd. -
Day 5: Mule Trek to Sidi Chamharouch
Today we follow one of the main trekking paths of Mount Toubkal up to the ancient 'King of Jinns’ shrine at Sidi Chamharouch where our guide tells us the legends behind the shrine before we trek back down to Aremd. -
Day 6: Transfer to Tahanoute & Enjoy Ziplining & Ropes Course
Transfer down the Gheraya Valley past cherry and apple orchards to Tahanoute and the adventure park at Terres d’Amanar for ziplining and a high ropes course. -
Day 7: Optional Activities at Terres d’Amanar & transfer back to Marrakech
This morning is free for you to choose from a variety of activities offered by Terres d’Amanar such as rock climbing, archery, horse riding and craft workshops, or simply relax by the swimming pool.
At the end of the day, we take the short drive back to Marrakech. This afternoon you can visit the Water Civilisation Museum.

Day 8: Depart Marrakech & arrive UK
Our Moroccan adventure is sadly at an end, and we are taken back to the airport in Marrakech for our flight home. -
Days 8-10 : OPTIONAL EXTENSION: Essaouira
After being in the mountains, why not extend your stay in Morocco by spending a few days in the historic town of Essaouira?
