Drive through stunning scenery, stopping to take photos of wildlife and to visit maple farms as you drive between destinations. Visit Canada’s capital Ottawa for a cruise on the Rideau Canal and take in the impressive architecture on Parliament Hill and splash about at a fantastic lakeside resort where you can relax a sandy beach or hire paddleboards and kayaks.

Stay in unique accommodation in the heart of Parc Omega, a wildlife habitat that brings you closer to nature, with the opportunity to watch bears, elk, bison, wolves, racoons and moose!

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Fly to Toronto

    On arrival into Toronto, collect your car hire and make your way around Lake Ontario to Niagara Falls.
  2. Day 2: Niagara Falls

    Spend the day witnessing the thundering Niagara Falls from every angle! Get wet as you "Journey Behind The Falls", take the boardwalk of White Water Walk to learn the raw power and geology of Niagara Gorge and get an aerial view from the Skylon or Observation Tower.
  3. Day 3: Niagara Falls to Toronto

    As you drive back to Toronto, choose from a thrilling and exhilarating ride in the white water rapids of Niagara Falls, or stop at Niagara-on-the-Lake for its orchards, vineyards and lake activities.
  4. Day 4: Free Day in Toronto

    Watch a baseball or hockey game, take a trip up the CN Tower, riding in the glass-faced elevators and reaching the top in just 58 seconds. Will you dare to stand on the glass floor?
  5. Day 5: Toronto to Huntsville

    Travel away from the city to Huntsville, a place for nature and adventure lovers, surrounded by stunning scenery, wildlife and endless outdoor activities. 
  6. Day 6: Free Day in Huntsville

    You can choose to spend the day enjoying the lake activities at the resort or explore the surrounding area. Visit Sugarbush Maple Farm, get the adrenaline pumping on a treetop adventure, travel back in time to the 1800s at Muskoka Heritage Place or hire bikes to explore the many trails of Arrowhead Provincial Park. 
  7. Day 7: Huntsville to Ottawa

    Travelling through Algonquin Provincial Park to Ottawa today gives your family the opportunity to explore maple hills, rocky ridges and many lakes, with activities such as biking and trout fishing on offer. 

    On arrival into Ottawa, take a walk to see the city, visit the impressive architecture on Parliament Hill or cruise on the Rideau canal. 

  8. Day 8: Parc Omega

    Today, you drive to a wildlife habitat just outside Montebello, offering you a drive-through safari experience. You have an overnight stay in unique accommodation such as tipis, forest pods and wolf lodges where you can get up close with a pack of wolves. There are over 20 species of wild animals living at Parc Omega, including moose, elk, bison, racoons, foxes and bears.
  9. Day 9: Montebello to Saint-Michel-des-Saints

    Drive through the Laurentian mountains to your next destination, a beautiful lakeside resort. 
  10. Day 10: Free Day at Lake Taureau

    Enjoy a variety of activities on offer at the lake, from building sand castles on the sandy beaches to swimming, kayaking, pedalos and paddleboards! 
  11. Day 11: Québec City

    Make your way to Québec City today and explore the city. See the world's most photographed hotel – Chateau Frontenac that dominates the skyline and the characterful old port, Vieux-Port.
  12. Day 12: Valcartier Waterpark or Whale Watching

    Spend the day making a splash at Valcartier Village Waterpark. Relax on the lazy river and enjoy thrilling water slides and tube rides.

    Or choose to have front row seats to a larger-than-life production of spectacular whales in search of krill by joining a boat trip where the Saguenay River joins the St. Lawrence River. Here there is the opportunity to spot up to 13 different species of whales from beluga to blue! 

  13. Day 13: Québec to Montreal

    Drive the south shore back to Montreal, with a recommended stop at the Chocolaterie La Cabosse d'Or where you can taste more than 100 varieties of Belgian chocolates and homemade ice cream.
  14. Day 14: Free Day in Montreal

    Visit the national landmark – the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal to revel in a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture, stroll the scenic waterfront and ride the La Grande Roue de Montreal – a Ferris wheel offering 360 degree views of the city. Hire bikes and explore Montreal and the surrounding area at your own pace, cycling the Lachine Canal and stop for some tasty food treats along the way.

    You can also choose to visit a place where nature and science are honoured at the Space for Life, exploring exotic ecosystems, wander through grand gardens and peer at galaxies.

  15. Day 15: Depart Montreal and Return Home

    Sadly, you have to say goodbye to this incredible self-drive holiday. Drop your hire car off before taking your overnight flight home.
  16. Day 16: Arrive UK
