As a huge country, stretching over 600,000 square kilometres, with a tiny population, Botswana is wide open for family adventures. In the north lies the world famous Okavango Delta, the diverse habitats of Chobe National Park and the Limpopo River. In the centre and south is the desolate beauty of the Kalahari Desert. On safari you see large herds of elephant, plains animals and their predators - lion, leopard and cheetah. While the arid lands of the Kalahari, characterised by open plains, ancient river bbeds and sand dunes are huge herds of wildebeest, gemsbok, eland, springbok and brown hyena, jackal and wild dog.
