Client Q&A: The Arrandale Family in Egypt

Egypt offers an intoxicating blend of archaeological wonders, bustling cities and timeless beauty, from the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza to the Valley of the Kings. The Arrandale family recently enjoyed their first holiday with us, and shared why Egypt is an excellent choice for your next adventure with the kids.

Q. What did you enjoy most about your holiday?

A. For me, the most enjoyable thing was the sunset meal followed by sailing on the felucca in Aswan. It was a wonderful experience! Relaxing, beautiful and a very special memory for us all. My daughter Evie’s favourite moment was seeing Tutankhamun. She also loved riding Oscar the camel at the Pyramids of Giza.

We thought the food was excellent quality in all the places we ate. The highlight was the delicious food and hospitality at the family lunch in Luxor.

A. Mohammed was calm, patient, organised and so knowledgeable. He happily answered our questions and ensured our trip ran smoothly. He was so kind to Evie, making sure she felt included, empowered to ask questions and be curious. He referred to her as “my little guide” as they chatted, sharing facts. He also gave her a Ramadan lantern, which sparked conversations that helped her learn about religion and culture.

A temple in Luxor, Egypt Q. Would you recommend booking an Egypt holiday with Families Worldwide?

A. Absolutely! Right from our initial enquiry, Family Travel Consultant Melissa was helpful, enthusiastic and engaged. She expertly led us through the booking process and made sure we were fully prepared for our trip. Having used Walks Worldwide in the past (who also deliver great experiences), Families Worldwide is a trusted name for us. They really thought about the family experience, offering the right balance of activity and leisure time.

We would highly recommend Egypt for other families. The local arrangements in Egypt were seamless and professional, which meant we could fully relax and immerse ourselves in the holiday.

Egyptians love children, and Evie was relaxed in the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, chatting happily to those we met along the way and trying out her Egyptian Arabic! The Arrandale family in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.
