A Guide to Mother’s Day Around the World

People in the USA are celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend – we decided it would be an interesting task to research what and when different countries around the world do to celebrate. USA celebrate by children taking their mothers out for meals and gifting her with flowers, cards and small presents. While Japan’s Mother’s Day originated after WW2 to console the mothers who lost their children in the war. In the Philippines, mothers are given the day off to go shopping, relax and get pampered!
