Day 1: Fly to the Yucatán Peninsula
Arrive in Cancún and transfer to your hotel in Playa del Carmen for a 4-night stay. The rest of the day is yours to relax after your journey. Explore the lively town, browse local shops and cafés, stroll along the beach or simply unwind before your family adventure begins. -
Day 2: Free Day in Playa del Carmen
Enjoy a full day at leisure to relax or explore at your own pace. Unwind by the pool, spend time on the beach, wander along lively Fifth Avenue, or choose from optional activities including snorkelling or a day trip to Cozumel. -
Day 3: Tulum Ruins & Mexican Flavours
Visit the spectacular clifftop ruins of Tulum with an expert guide, discovering the history of this ancient Maya trading port while enjoying breathtaking Caribbean views. Afterwards, return to Playa del Carmen for lunch at a local taquería, before spending the rest of the day at leisure. -
Day 4: Wildlife & Snorkelling in Sian Ka’an
Explore the UNESCO-listed Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, travelling by boat through mangroves and lagoons in search of dolphins, turtles and tropical birdlife. Enjoy time snorkelling in the Caribbean waters before returning to Playa del Carmen for a relaxed evening on the coast. -

Day 6: Chichén Itzá & Cenote Swimming
Start early to explore the magnificent Chichén Itzá before the crowds arrive, discovering the incredible achievements of the ancient Maya. Later, cool off with a swim in a crystal-clear cenote, before returning to Valladolid for a relaxed afternoon exploring this colourful colonial town. -
Day 7: Maya Chocolate Traditions & the Coast
Travel back towards the Caribbean coast with a stop at a traditional chocolate hacienda. Discover the importance of cacao in Maya culture, learn how chocolate is made using ancient techniques and create your own before continuing to Playa del Carmen for your final night by the sea. -
Day 8: Depart Mexico
Your Yucatán adventure comes to an end today. After breakfast, transfer from your hotel in Playa del Carmen to Cancún International Airport for your onward flight, taking home wonderful memories of Maya history, wildlife, culture and Caribbean adventures. -
