During this amazing itinerary, your family will visit erupting geysers, transatlantic tectonic 'plates', thundering rivers and thermal lagoons. You will bathe in the warm geothermal waters of a secret lagoon for some relaxing downtime, before the adventure continues along the south coast where you will visit 'diamond' beaches, see imposing volcanoes, walk behind roaring waterfalls and beneath volcanic cliffs, as well as viewing iceberg filled lakes and exploring impressive canyons to discover hidden waterfalls!

Day 1: Arrive in Iceland & visit Blue Lagoon
Depending on your arrival time, you have the option to visit the famous Blue Lagoon. Here you can bathe in the milky geothermal waters of this world-renowned spa, before heading to your accommodation in Reykjavik.

Day 2: Explore Reykjavik
Today you have a full day to explore Reykjavik. There are plenty of sightseeing options to fill your time, so you'll easily be able to organise a fun day that will interest all of your family, such as visits to the Saga Museum, Perlan, Aurora Reykjavik, or one of the many public geothermal baths!

Day 3: The Golden Circle – Geysers and Lagoons!
Today you drive The Golden Circle which includes visits to Thingvellir National Park, Geysir and the spectacular Gulfoss waterfalls. Visits can also be made to a geothermal bakery and a secret lagoon where you can bathe in the warm geothermal waters.

Day 4: Iceland's Volcanoes and Coast
Explore the volcanic black beaches of the southern coast and discover the beautiful waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, before taking a trek on a glacier and visiting a lava exhibition to experience the creation of lava.

Day 5: Visit Skaftafell National Park
Drive beyond the south coast to trek into canyons and discover hidden waterfalls, walk along a ‘diamond’ beach and marvel at stunning glacial lagoons

Day 6: Explore Lava Tunnels and the Coast
Returning to Reykjavik, you will stop along the south coast to enjoy a kayaking excursion amongst the coast lagoons, and explore a lava tunnel in the hills of the Reykjanes Peninsular

Day 7: Whale watching in Reykjavik
Your final day will be spent enjoying a whale watching excursion off the coast of Reykjavik. Humpbacks, sperm whales and harbour porpoise are all likely to be seen from our boat trip.

Day 8: Depart Iceland
Depending on your departure time, you have the option to visit the famous Blue Lagoon before returning your vehicle and flying home.
Please note: Depending on your chosen travel month, the kayaking excursion will be replaced with a 4x4 drive and trek to an ice cave. The order of activities in this itinerary may change according to the availability at the time of booking, and weather conditions on the day.
