Starting in the capital, Ljubljana, this trip takes your family on a truly beautiful journey through one of the most beautiful regions of Europe. There are beautiful valleys to explore near the Austrian border and meadows full of fresh flowers and herbs to pick. Then move onto the stunning lakes of Bohinj and Bled, with their crystal clear waters you can swim in, or explore their fairytale-like castle.
Take a scenic train ride along the Soca River and onto the sunny Adriatic coast, where you then explore the unique limestone caves of Skocjan, hunt for truffles, see dazzling white horses and cruise the bays in search of dolphins on this exciting family adventure.

Day 1: Fly to Ljubljana
Upon arrival at Ljubljana airport, you're met and driven to your hotel in the city.

Day 2: Walking tour of Ljubljana
Enjoy a morning walking tour through the old town of Ljubljana visiting markets, historic bridges, central town squares and more. -
Day 3: Logar Valley & Gornji Grad excursion
Enjoy a beautiful day out in the Logar Valley, following hiking trails to waterfalls and hiking through meadows in Gornji Grad, picking wild herbs to make your own herbal snacks and drinks. -
Day 4: Drive to Bled & Visit Alpine Lakes
Depart Ljubljana in the morning and drive to Bled via the stunning Lake Bohinj and explore the fairytale-like castle of Bled. -
Day 5: Day at leisure in Bled
Enjoy a day at your leisure in Bled, with plenty to do to keep you occupied, including taking a boat trip to explore the island in the middle of the lake. -
Day 6: Scenic train journey to Nova Gorica & drive to Portoroz
Take the train alongside the Soca River to Nova Gorica and drive to the coastal town of Portoroz. -
Day 7: Visit Skocjan Caves & Lipica Stud Farm
Explore limestone formations and stalactitesin the karst cave system of Skocjan and wander through a series of canyons. These caves are the world's longest and deepest underground canyon. Next, visit the Lipica Stud Farm, home of the stunning Lipizzaner white horses.

Day 8: Truffle hunting in the Istrian countryside
Accompanied by a team of experts, go in search of the delectable truffles of the Istrian hills and enjoy a truffle-based lunch. -
Day 9: Cruise the Adriatic Coast
Sail along the coastline of Slovenia, stopping in different bays in search of dolphin, swimming, snorkelling and enjoying the dramatic scenery. -
Day 10: Visit Postonja Caves & Fly to UK
Drive back to Ljubljana Airport, stopping on the way to explore the Postonja caves by riding the underground railway and walking amongst the giant stalagmites and stalactites. From the caves, continue to the airport for your flight home.
