Arriving in Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, Sognefjord, explore some of the 19 charming villages in this region, learning about the history of how the Vikings lived. Cruise, kayak on emerald green waters, hike through the valley of waterfalls, zipline, explore the blue ice of glaciers and embark on an exhilarating white-water rafting trip.

To round off your stunning journey in Norway’s beautiful fjord, you catch the world-famous Flåm Railway, one of the most beautiful train rides your family will ever take. Pass through magnificent mountain scenery, snow-capped peaks, waterfalls and mountain farms.

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrive Norway & Evening at leisure in Bergen

    Departing the UK, arrive into Bergen Airport. After checking into your hotel the rest of the day is at your leisure.
  2. Day 2: Express boat from Bergen to Balestrand

    After a relaxed morning, take the express boat from Bergen to the beautiful village of  Balestrand.
  3. Day 3: Cruise to Fjaerland & Relax in a Floating Sauna

    Enjoy a morning at leisure in Balestrand, walk along aa nature trail, visit the aquarium or Saint Olaf’s Church. Later, take the ferry and cruise to Fjaerland for a session in a floating sauna.
  4. Day 4: Hike & Kayak in Fjaerlandsfjord

    Your day starts with a relaxed and scenic hike up Mount Besshovden after luch take a guided kayak tour of Fjaerlandsfjord's dramatic scenery.
  5. Day 5: RIB Safari & Cycle Veitastrond Lake

    Enjoy a thrilling RIB boat ride on Veitastrond lake’s emerald green glacial waters. After the RIB ride cycle back to your start point with possibility of seeing soaring eagles on your ride.
  6. Day 6: Nigard Lake Boat Trip & Glacier Hike

    Providing picture-perfect photo opportunities, take a scenic boat ride on the idyllic Nigard Lake, followed by a glacier walk with an expert guide to explore the blue ice and crevasses of the glacier. 

  7. Day 7: White-water Rafting at Jostedal River

    An action-packed day awaits you with an exhilarating white-water rafting trip, also know as 'The Elvepurka trip' or trip of the 'River Pig'.
  8. Day 8: Bike & Hike Skjolden

    Cycle the romantic road to a café, the start point of your short hike to the beautiful Feigefossen waterfall. Next continue your cycle to the Urnes Stave Church before cycling back to your hotel.
  9. Day 9: Visit a Viking Town & Cruise the Naroyfjord

    Take a cruise through the UNESCO-listed Naroyfjord and into Aurlandsfjord, where you might have the opportunity to see seals and eagles that inhabit the area. Afterwards visit Njardarheim Viking town, where you have the opportunity to take part in axe throwing, bow shooting and enjoy a traditional Viking-style meal

  10. Day 10: Zipline & Cycling in Flåm

    Ride the world’s steepest and beautiful train journey to Myrdal to experience the longest zipline in the Nordic region through the Flåm Valley, afterwards, cycle the scenic roads back to your hotel.

  11. Day 11: Ride the Flåm Railway to Bergen

    This morning, catch the train and journey along the beautiful Flåm railway route from Flåm to Myrdal, before changing trains and carrying on to Bergen.
  12. Day 12: Free Time in Bergen

    Stroll amongst old wooden houses and narrow alleyways of Nordnes or Sandviken, visit the fish market and taste some Norwegian seafood or take the kids up Mount Fløyen on the Funicular to enjoy stunning views of Bergen and the surrounding landscape, as well as a large playground, exciting troll forest and hiking opportunities.

  13. Day 13: Depart Norway & arrive UK
