Typical Itinerary

1. Day 1: Fly to Kathmandu

   Your adventure begins with an overnight flight to Kathmandu, Nepal's vibrant capital. Relax on board and look forward to the exciting experiences that await, from ancient temples and mountain trails, to thrilling adventures in the Himalayas.

2. Day 2: Explore Kathmandu's Iconic Buddhist Monuments

   Arrive in Kathmandu and meet your guide, before visiting the impressive Boudhanath Stupa and the hilltop Monkey Temple. Enjoy your first views across the Kathmandu Valley, before transferring to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Journey to the Hill Town of Bandipur

   Travel through Nepal's scenic countryside to the beautifully preserved hill town of Bandipur. Spend the afternoon exploring its traditional streets, historic buildings and mountain views.

4. Day 4: Travel to the Lakeside City of Pokhara

   Continue to Pokhara, Nepal's adventure capital. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the lakeside, relaxing by Phewa Lake or preparing for the adventures ahead.

5. Day 5: Choose from a Selection of Adventure Activities

   Spend the day exploring Pokhara at your own pace, or choose from a range of optional activities including mountain biking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and other exciting adventures.

6. Day 6: Trek through the Annapurna Foothills

   Travel to the trailhead and begin your trek through forests, terraced hillsides and traditional villages, to panoramic viewpoints in the Annapurna foothills. Continue to the mountain village of Dhampus for an overnight stay, surrounded by Himalayan scenery.

7. Day 7: Sunrise over the Himalayas

   Wake early for sunrise across the Annapurna range, before descending through terraced hillsides and traditional villages. Return to Pokhara for an afternoon by the lakeside.

8. Day 8: White-Water Rafting Adventure

   Take on the exciting rapids of the Seti River, navigating a series of fun and fast-flowing sections surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, before returning to Pokhara.

9. Day 9: Journey to Panauti & Settle into Local Life

   Travel from Pokhara to the historic town of Panauti, enjoying Nepal’s changing landscapes along the way. Settle into your accommodation and, this evening, enjoy a traditional homestay-style dinner, offering a first taste of local hospitality and daily life.

10. Day 10: Discover Panauti & Village Life

    Explore the historic Newari town of Panauti before visiting nearby villages to experience local traditions, community life and a hands-on cooking experience.

11. Day 11: Explore Bhaktapur's Medieval Streets & Kathmandu Street Food Tour

    Discover the UNESCO-listed city of Bhaktapur, exploring its ancient squares, temples and artisan workshops before returning to Kathmandu.

    This evening, join a guided street food tour through the lively streets of Thamel, sampling local favourites while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. Alternatively, choose an optional traditional Nepali dinner with music and dance.

12. Day 12: Depart Kathmandu

    Transfer to the airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your family adventure through Nepal.

13. Days 12-14 : OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS: Chitwan National Park

    Extend your adventure with three nights in Chitwan National Park. Enjoy guided jungle walks, jeep safaris and river excursions in search of one-horned rhinos, crocodiles and colourful birdlife, while learning about the traditions of the local Tharu community.
