Typical Itinerary

1. Day 1: Depart the UK

2. Day 2: Arrive Nairobi, transfer to Sagana

   Today we're met at the airport by our guide and transferred to our riverside camp in Sagana.

   This afternoon, you have a choice of activities to take part in, such as archery or climbing.

3. Day 3: White-water Rafting on Sagana River & Kiambichu Hill Hike

   This morning we enjoy a 3-hour rafting trip on the Sagana River, where we can spot wildlife, swim and white-water raft down exciting rapids like the ‘grand slam’ and ‘Devil's toilet bowl’.

   In the afternoon, we take a 3-hour hike through the local forest and up Kiambichu Hill, where we're rewarded with spectacular views across the plains, with Mount Kenya in the distance.

4. Day 4: Rock Climbing at Baboon Crag

   This morning we venture to the nearby Baboon Crag for a rock climbing activity. There are three routes to try, and we can take a dip in the river whilst we’re waiting for our turn.

   This afternoon we have a choice of water-based activities such as stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking. Alternatively, you can choose to go in a two-person raft, affectionately known as 'Duckys'.

5. Day 5: Jangwani Zipline & Transfer to Lake Naivasha

   This morning enjoy a zipline experience across the river and then transfer to our camp on the shores of Lake Naivasha before a nighttime game drive around Naivasha.

6. Day 6: Cycling Safari, Afternoon Nature Walk & Boat Safari

   In the morning we head out into the amazing scenery of Hells Gate National Park for a 4-hour cycling safari with the opportunity to spot herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope.

   In the afternoon, we go on a 2-hour nature walk with a resident expert from Sanctuary Farm to learn about the Rift Valley ecosystem. Then, we go out on the lake for a boat safari to spot hippos, eagles and many more species that make the lake home.

7. Day 7: Transfer to Masai Mara Cultural Camp & Masai Cultural Walk

   We transfer to our Masai Mara Cultural Camp and join one of the tribes people for a walk in the hills to learn about medicines and key warrior skills.

8. Day 8: Masai Cultural Day & Transfer to Masai Mara Game Reserve

   Rise early and help milk the camp's cows and goats, followed by a visit to the ladies' village to make some jewellery and learn more about the Masai way of life.

   This afternoon we transfer to the Oloolaimutia hills of the Masai Mara Game Reserve and our lodge.

9. Day 9: Game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve

   We head into the park for a full day of vehicle safaris in Masai Mara, with the chance to spot an amazing collection of wildlife, where the highlights are likely to be lion, rhino, elephant and many more.

10. Day 10: Transfer to Nairobi

    We drive back to Nairobi this morning. The afternoon is free for you to relax at the hotel or explore the local area.

11. Day 11: Depart Nairobi & arrive UK

    Sadly, we say goodbye to Kenya this morning and fly back home.

12. Days 11-15 : OPTIONAL EXTENSION: Watamu

    We can offer a fantastic 4-night extension to Kenya's Indian Ocean coastline. Flying from Nairobi to Watamu, you can spend time at Temple Point Resort with a dhow safari to enjoy dolphin watching before visiting a traditional Giriama village to try some traditional village skills and a trip to a secret island where you can enjoy some time on the beach.
