This tailor made family itinerary starts in Delhi, where you can explore the colourful narrow alleyways of Old Delhi’s bazaar. Your journey then continues to Agra to watch a breathtaking sunrise over the Taj Mahal, followed by a fun rickshaw safari through Keoladeo National Park.  

Experience rural life in a local village and stay in a beautiful heritage hotel before driving to Ranthambore National Park in search of tigers. Spend time exploring Jaipur, known as the Pink City, and watch a Bollywood movie in a traditional cinema.

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Depart UK

    Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Delhi.

  2. Day 2: Arrive Delhi

    This afternoon, your guide will take you on an afternoon city tour of Old and New Delhi.

  3. Day 3: Visit Agra Fort & Baby Taj

    You’ll transfer to Agra in the morning. In the afternoon, visit the Baby Taj and Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

  4. Day 4: Taj Mahal at sunrise; drive to Bharatpur; cycle rickshaw safari

    At sunrise, take a vist to the iconic Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan, taking 20 years to complete.

    Drive to Bharatpur, visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way. This afternoon, you’ll ride in a cycle rickshaw on a safari through Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary.

  5. Day 5: Visit a rural village

    Drive to Karauli to visit a local school and take a tour of the village. See local life, a bazaar and a Hindu temple.

  6. Days 6-7 : Ranthambore National Park: wildlife safaris

    In the afternoon, jump into a jeep to spot wildlife on safari in Ranthambore National Park, known for its tigers. The following day, you will have both morning and afternoon game drives in a private jeep with a local guide.

  7. Day 8: To Jaipur; watch a Bollywood film

    After driving to Jaipur, the 'pink city' and capital of Rajasthan. The afternoon is free to be spent at leisure, perhaps visiting the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) or the Jantar Mantar Observatory.  In the evening, visit a heritage cinema hall to watch a Bollywood film.

  8. Day 9: Amber Fort

    The morning is spent at Amber Fort Palace, with the afternon free to explore Jaipur a little more.

  9. Day 10: Return to Delhi

    Drive back to Delhi, where the afternoon is free to explore the city and make the most of your remaining time in India, maybe visiting the Ghandi museum or trying some local food.

  10. Day 11: Fly back to the UK

    Depart Delhi on a daytime flight back to the UK, arriving later the same day.
