Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Iisakki Village
Fly to Kuusamo and transfer to your accommodation in Iisakki Village where you're based for your holiday.
For the next few days, you can enjoy a series of snow-filled activities. Depending on your family's preferences, you can choose to do any combination of the activities we have suggested and either swap them between your days or extend your holiday to do them all!

Day 2: Husky Sled
Today, meet a team of huskies as they get ready to take you on a 10-kilometre sledge ride through the nearby wintry forest.

Day 3: Snowshoeing, Cross-country Skiing, Fat-bike Safari & Northern Lights
Daytime optional activities include: snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or winter fat-bike safari. Optional evening activities include:
Evening Northern Lights by Reindeer Sleigh: Take a traditional reindeer-pulled sleigh ride for a magical journey under the Finnish night sky in search of The Northern Lights.
Optional Northern Lights Snowmobile sledging: Hop on a sledge pulled behind your guide’s snowmobile and drive into the night for a ride under the stars.
Optional Northern Lights snowshoeing: Strap on your snow shoes for a magical night walk through the forest and fell scenery in search of The Northern Lights.

Day 4: Ice Fishing, River Floating, Reindeer Visits & Wild Food Dinner
Day time optional activities include: river floating, Finnish sauna experience, ice fishing or a reindeer farm visit.
In the evening, visit the underground Bear Cave restaurant for a Lappish wild food experience, where a variety of local delicacies are on offer.

Day 5: Return to Kuusamo airport & fly back to the UK

Days 6-8 : OPTIONAL EXTENSION
This trip can easily be extended in order to include as many of the activities mentioned above, or why not spend an extra few days at Ruka Village, where your family can enjoy the local mountain scenery learning to ski for two or three days.
