Cambodia is a true jewel of the beautiful south-east Asian countries, with a compelling and haunting modern history, a magnificent and powerful ancient history. Cambodia has beautiful and diverse landscapes from modern cities to rural villages, giant lakes and lush tropical jungle. The people of Cambodia bring everything together with their friendliness and delectable food, making Cambodia an amazing destination for a real and engaging cultural discovery adventure for the whole family.
Our adventure starts in the capital, Phnom Penh, where our adventure begins with our fortunes being told by one of the city's foremost fortune-tellers, before we enjoy an interactive city tour complete with our own fleet of tuk-tuks and tablet devices. Our time in Phnom Penh finishes with a sunset cruise on the mighty Mekong River.
We then venture into the heart of Cambodia's countryside in Battambang where we have an insightful and exciting tour of the area, meeting local families, seeing gilded temples, riding the famous bamboo train and seeing the evening sky fill with bats as they stream out of their cave.
Our trip ends in Siem Reap where we set our taste buds tingling on a tour of the city's delicious street food, before we challenge our minds, imagination and sleuthing skills as we go on a hunt for treasure around the famous Angkor Wat temple complex; the largest religious monument in the world and one of the most important archaeological sites in South-east Asia. We enjoy a final evening together watching Cambodia's equivalent to Cirque du Soleil, The Phare Circus, learning the story of Cambodia’s history through dance and acrobatics.
