Starting in Rio de Janeiro, you're introduced to the famous modern cultural gems of Brazil, visiting the iconic sites of the city including the awe-inspiring Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado Mountain and touring a colourful Favela with a local resident. Your time in Rio ends by learning the secrets behind how the legendary carnival is put together.
Next, you journey up the Rio Negro from Manaus into the Brazilian Amazon Jungle, where you spend four days meeting local and indigenous communities and learn how they balance a traditional way of life whilst trying to adapt to the modern world. In the jungle, you also head out for nighttime adventures on canoe and foot and visit a beautiful white sand beach in the heart of the Amazon.
From the Amazon Jungle you journey to the coastal city of Salvador where you're introduced to the colourful and mystical Bahian culture that was originally brought to Brazil from Africa. Here, you meet local communities to cook delicious food and learn the rhythms of Bahian percussion and Capoeira. Finally, you spend a few days relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Praia do Forte enjoying the warm clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 1: Depart the UK
Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Day 2: Arrive Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro and transfer to your hotel on Copacabana Beach. This evening, you have the option to either relax or go out on a tour of Rio’s family friendly nightlife and enjoy a welcome to Brazil caipirinha.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro: City Tour
Today you're taken on an exciting guided trip around Rio de Janeiro, where you’ll experience all the highlights: Sugar Loaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Tijuca urban rainforest, and a guided tour with a local resident of Morro da Babilonia Favela.

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro: Samba & Carnival Workshop
This morning, go for a Samba class and put your dancing skills to the test!
Rio is famous for its lavish carnivals and at this afternoon's carnival workshop you can get involved and see how it is all created!

Day 5: Fly to Manaus
This morning, fly from Rio de Janeiro to Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon Jungle.

Days 6-8 : Amazon Jungle Experience
Spend three nights at a jungle community lodge, visiting indigenous tribes, hiking on jungle trails, exploring the jungle waterways by boat and swimming in the river from sandy jungle beaches.

Day 9: Return to Manaus & fly to Salvador
Journey back down the Rio Negro to Manaus airport and fly to Salvador.

Day 10: Salvador's Mystical Bahian Tour
Discover the secrets and traditions of the Bahian cultural tour, and in the evening have the option to enjoy the Bahian party vibes on a night tour.

Day 11: Bahian Cooking Class & Capoeira or Percussion class
Visit a local community project developed by the local women and learn to cook a traditional Bahian lunch. After lunch, enjoy a capoeira class or learn the Bahian rhythm at a percussion class.

Drive from Salvador to Praia do Forte and spend the next THREE nights enjoying time on the sandy beaches of Praia do Forte. -
