Spending the first half of the trip in the southern region of Kruger National Park, on the banks of the Sabie River, venture out on daily game drives. Discover unique wildlife, including the elusive leopard, which is more commonly seen in this area.
On the transfer between lodges, you could break up the journey with a thrilling white-water rafting trip in the Sabie River Valley for added adventure or a visit to Nyani Cultural Village to watch a colourful dance performance and cultural immersion into the daily lives of a Shangaan homestead.
The second half of the trip takes you into the central Kruger region and the Manyeleti Game Reserve for more daily game drives and the opportunity to spot some incredible wildlife.
Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Depart UK
Fly overnight to Kruger, via Johannesburg. -
Day 2: Arrive in Kruger
You're met at the airport and transferred to your first safari lodge. -
Day 3: Free Morning & Afternoon Safari
This morning you have some free time to enjoy the lodge facilities, before heading out on your first safari this afternoon in search of the iconic Big Five. Elephants are most likely going to be first on the list, with around 12,000 roaming the park. Leopards are the hardest to find and sleekest hunters in the bush with only 1,000 throughout the park, hopefully you'll be lucky! -
Day 4: Morning Safari & Afternoon at Leisure
As the sun rises, beautiful colours light up the landscape, and you start looking for wildlife among the grasses this morning. Lions carefully blend in with the bush with their light yellow-brown coat, however look for vultures circling in the air as this can indicate lions hunting below.
This afternoon, enjoy the facilities at the lodge, such as challenging your kids to a game of giant chess, play a game of mini golf or relax at the pool.

Day 5: Transfer Between Lodges & Optional Activities
Check out and make your transfer to your next safari lodge. En route, you can stop at the Extreme Adventure Camp for white-water rafting on the Sabie River or visit Nyani Cultural Village to learn about the daily lives of a Shangaan homestead.
Then, continue your journey north to the next lodge on the banks of the river in the Manyeleti Private Game Reserve, a concession that borders Kruger National Park.

Day 6: Morning & Afternoon Safaris
Experience two game drives today in search of more wildlife. There's a good chance you'll have seen a white rhino by now, however the black rhino are much rarer.
You have a few hours back at the lodge in-between where you can take part in junior safari bush walks, bead-making, crafts and a refreshing dip in the pool.

Day 7: Morning & Afternoon Safaris
With another two game drives today, there's lots of opportunity to spot more wildlife – why not search for the little five – antlion, eastern rock elephant shrew, leopard tortoise, red-billed buffalo weaver and rhino beetle! -
Day 8: Depart Kruger
Leave Kruger National Park behind you and return to the airport for an overnight flight back to the UK. -
Day 9: Arrive UK

Days 9-12 : OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS: Johannesburg or Cape Town
Choose to stop in Johannesburg before or after the trip to explore the city or step back in time to when man first walked the Earth at Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. Alternatively, fly to Cape Town, where there are family-friendly beaches, penguin encounters and of course the iconic natural landmark of Table Mountain, offering awe-inspiring views.
