On this self-guided adventure, your family can cycle around the shores of the glassy Hallstattersee Lake and explore the area further by canoe. Young adventurers can climb a mountain ride a cable-car and explore a variety of underground mines and caves.
An enchanting village is your base for the week as you explore the surrounding mountains, lakes and villages through a network of designated walking and cycling trails.
Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Salzburg, transfer to Bad Goisern
Fly to Salzburg and transfer to your accommodation in Bad Goisern.

Day 2: Cycling at Lake Hallstattersee & Salzwelten Tour
Cycle around the shores of Lake Hallstattersee, which is surrounded by high mountains and picturesque alpine houses. Visit the village of Obertraun and UNESCO World Heritage Site Hallstatt, where you catch the funicular up the valley to the view point and take a tour of the salt mines.

Day 3: Canoeing on Lake Hallstattersee
Head out onto the calm lake by canoe and explore the most beautiful parts of the lake and its shores.

Day 4: Mount Katrin Cable-car & Mountain Trail Hike
Start your day with a pleasurable walk along the River Traun Promenade in Bad Ischl before taking the cable-car up Mount Katrin. Follow one of the marked trails for a fun family hike with spectacular views.

Day 5: Hiking Mount Kalmberg
The ascent up Mount Kalmberg is short, but steep - but well worth the effort! From here, you can explore the summit or visit the Kalmoos church. Stay overnight in a mountain hut.

Day 6: Descend to Bad Goisern
After a good breakfast, descend back down the mountain to the village, and the rest of the day is free to explore.

Day 7: Dachstein Adventure World
Catch the train to the Dachstein Adventure World and explore ice caves and the Instagrammable Five Fingers Platform.

Day 8: Departure
Transfer back to Salzburg Airport for your flight home.
