Family holidays are a special time, when without the distractions of work, school or household chores families can enjoy quality time, go on adventures and create memories and stories to look back on for years to come.
At Families Worldwide we love creating holidays to allow this to happen, and we also love hearing about what adventures you had while away, what exciting things you saw or did and what stories from your trip you will tell again and again.
That’s why we’ve decided to launch our Families Worldwide Children’s Writing Competition!
Send us a short piece of prose (around 250-350 words) about your experiences on one of our holidays for a chance to win an Action Camera, perfect for capturing your next family adventure, and a selection of wildlife focused books from our sponsors Bloomsbury.
You can focus on any aspect of the holiday – your favourite moment, the most exciting day, why you loved the destination or the holiday as a whole.
We have two categories: Under 12s for children aged 5-11, and Under 18s for children aged 12-18 and both category winners will receive a prize.
How to enter:
Please send your writing, along with the author’s name, age and where your family holiday destination was, to team@familiesworldwide.co.uk before 31st January 2020 for a chance to win!
Terms & Conditions
1) The competition closes on 31st January 2020.
2) Winning entries from both categories will receive a prize.
3) Entrants need to have been under 19 at the time of travel.
4) Poetry will not be accepted, and all entries must be emailed (not handwritten).
5) You need to have travelled on a Families Worldwide holiday (or with any of our sister companies), and each family can have multiple entries.
6) By entering the competition you are agreeing for your writing to be used by Families Worldwide on our website, social media and in future marketing material.
7) The winner will be chosen by the Families Worldwide team by the end of February and notified by email.
8) The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
