It’s not all doom and gloom!

Amid all the constant barrage of depressing economic news and falling exchange rates it is worth remembering that there are a lot of countries which still offer outstanding value for money and where the exchange rate has actually improved! (Luckily for us, many of these fabulous destinations are offered by Families Worldwide.)

Among the places where the pound has strengthened in the past year are South Africa and Turkey. South Africa has a great wealth of inspiring landscapes, wildlife and culture so with the value of Sterling up almost 15% against the Rand over this period, what better time to sample the excellent foods, wines and range of activities you can take part in on a family adventure? Likewise our new trip to the beautiful Lycian coast of Turkey looks great value anyway (see our Trips under £800 section) but the Turkish New Lira has fallen so there’s even more of an excuse for you and the kids to try out new watersports or a superb Turkish mezze.

Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Malaysia and Thailand are still incredibly good value compared with Europe or the US. With indications also that some airfares and fuel costs are starting to drop perhaps the idea of a family adventure overseas starts to look a bit brighter!

Chameleon Club Loyalty Scheme

If you have travelled with us, or a sister company before, you can save up to £100 per person off your next holiday booked with Families Worldwide or any company in Chameleon Worldwide.
