Although the plane trip to Costa Rica was a long 11-hour flight, it was worth it as the plane had a wide variety of games and films! When we arrived in Costa Rica it was so sunny, and warm and just felt amazing. All the lovely hotels/places we stayed in felt welcoming and safe.
Some of my favourite parts of the trip included white water rafting (you get to have a stop for a break with some tropical fruit and have a chance to jump off a small cliff) and going on a huge zipline through the jungle (where you get to see lots of wildlife and great views of the lake.) Something else I enjoyed was going on a great bike ride to see a beautiful view of a volcano over a river.
Oh and don’t let me forget the amazing tour boats we went on to see some amazing animals. Just to name a few we saw: sloths (2 & 3 toed), an eagle, toucans (yellow-throated and keel-billed), a kingfisher, bottlenose dolphins and crocodiles. That’s not even all that we saw though as on a wildlife jungle walk we saw an armadillo, tarantulas (orange mouth & knee), leaf cutter ants and … monkeys! (Spider monkeys, white-faced monkeys and howler monkeys). There are so many more animals than these too - you won't want to miss out!
