Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Fly to Cairo

On arrival in Cairo, your guide will assist you with your transfer to your hotel.

A city of contrasts, Cairo is home to ancient monuments alongside a modern city-scape; expect a lively, chaotic atmosphere as you arrive in the largest city of the Arab World.

  2. Day 2: Pyramids & the Egyptian Museum

Start your day with a visit to the three Pyramids. Marvel at the magnificent Sphinx carved out of a single piece of stone, watching over the Giza plateau.

This afternoon, visit the world-famous Egyptian Museum covering 5,000 years of ancient civilization including Tutankhamen’s treasures.

  3. Day 3: Day trip to Alexandria

Today, travel north to the city of Alexandria on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast. The city is believed to have been founded by and named after Alexander the Great, connecting the Egyptian and Greco Roman civilizations.

Spend a full day exploring the city, visiting old and modern sites such as Fort Quitbey, the ruins of Serapeum and the famous Alexandria library.

  4. Day 4: Fly to Aswan, felucca cruise

Take an early morning flight to Aswan, a scenic, laid-back city on the banks of the Nile. Visit the Temple of Philae, located on an island in the reservoir of the Aswan Dam.

Late afternoon, you will board your private felucca for a relaxing cruise along the Nile, stopping at the Aswan Botanical Garden, as well as Elephantine Island wher you can see the tombs of the Aswan nobles and the stunning reflection of the sand dunes over the river.

This evening, visit a Nubian village for a traditional dinner.

  5. Day 5: Luxor & Valley of the Kings

Transfer by road to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings where you will find a collection of elaborately decorated tombs and underground mausoleums that the ancient Egyptians built for their pharaohs.

This evening, visit the traditional market where you will be able to explore and haggle for souvenirs (optional).

  6. Day 6: Hurghada

Transfer to Hurghada, an excellent base for snorkelling trips with translucent water and rare species of coral and fish.

This evening, you’ll be taken by a 4x4 jeep into the heart of the desert, stopping at a turtle museum along the way before arriving at a Bedouin village where you'll enjoy a tour and stories about Bedouin life and traditions. Try some Bedouin tea and a barbeque dinner with traditional entertainment and enjoy some star gazing, before returning to your hotel.

  7. Day 7: Red Sea snorkelling tour

Set sail for the deserted island of Giftun set in the tranquil blue waters of the Red Sea. Stop to see the magnificent coral reef here, and swim with an abundance of underwater sealife. Lunch will be served on board the boat with time to relax on the beach and enjoy the Red Sea before returning to Hurghada in the late afternoon.
