Things to see in Botswana: Moremi Game Reserve
- Fact!: Some camps offer the chance to sleep out in the bush - a fabulous way to experience the wilderness as you sleep under the stars in elevated hides. Nothing compares to the thrill of hearing the roar of a lion as the glow of the camp fire dims, nor waking up to the African dawn!
Moremi Game Reserve is considered to be one of Africa's finest wildlife sanctuaries. Covering nearly 5,000 square kilometres of the Okavango's north-eastern portion. It has a wide diversity of eco-systems from mopane woodlands, acacia forests, floodplains and lagoons stretching down to the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta. Wildlife-viewing in this stunningly beautiful. Over recent years whito rhinos have been re-introduced into the area and this is the only part of the delta where you see rhino. There are high concentrations of all the major plains game and their predators, and an excellent birdlife (including Pel's fishing owl).
