Visit the famous Bangkok Canals (klongs) by long tail boat to see an alternative side to this famous city. Carving through the city, the Klongs take you back to a Bangkok that has changed greatly in the last 30 years. The floating markets are an iconic image of Thailand, drive out to visit one such market and experience the buzz of river life. There’s also a fantastic array of transport options available to get around this traffic-choked city – it is most efficient to stick to the canals, river and Skytrain, but a road trip in a tuk-tuk is loads of fun.
