Taroudant

The Berber market town of Taroudant is surrounded by red-mud walls and backed by the peaks of the Atlas mountains. It is a more relaxed place than Marrakech and is a great place for some shopping.

Reached via a dramatic drive through the mountains from Marrakech, or nearby Agadir, it makes a good starting point for people wishing to explore the far south of Morocco.
