Summer 2008 Adventure Holidays - Late Booking trend

Summer Holiday Ideas and Recommendations According to recent research, more families than ever before are leaving their summer holiday decision until the last minute. In a recent survey of over 1000 families, 73% said they were planning to go on holiday this summer with their children, but only 34% had already booked. 60% said they would be travelling outside of the UK.

With the summer holidays approaching fast, here's a quick guide to some great family adventures departing this summer...

Namibia

Cheetahs & Dunes

Malawi

Hippo, Malawi Malawi is one of Africa's friendliest countries. These two trips offer a great mix of game viewing and water sports on Lake Malawi. After hippos, crocs and elephant the children can snorkel among the tropical fish in the lake. You'll see Dedza pottery and make your own mug, meet local children in a school, and track animals. High Atlas Adventure

Greece

Island Odyssey

Vase & Boat, Greece The first half of the week you'll stay on the island of Evia, where there are tiny villages and a Venetian fortress to explore, as well as quiet coves and beaches for swimming and snorkelling. For the second half you board a traditional Greek fishing boat called a 'kaiki' and meander round the islands, calling in at fishing villages and deserted bays. Finland

Finnish Summer Adventure

Finland Boats Extend your summer days and go to Finland - the land of the midnight sun and Rudolph the reindeer. Your secluded log cabin is set in the middle of a forest with a separate sauna. Tanzania

Tanzania - Elephant Kids love camping, especially when they think there might be a lion about! In August you'll catch the end of the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti and as well as the big cats you'll see zebra, hippo and elephant.
