Costa Rica
Rainforest & Volcanoes
Costa Rica is just made for families. It offers a wonderful combination of adventure and activity as well as superb beaches and comfortable accommodation. On this holiday you'll dip your toes in both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, experience the contrast between the laid back Caribbean coast and the ranches and cowboy country of Guanacaste in the west, and enjoy a dazzling array of optional activities in the rainforest - canopy tours, zip-wire riding, rafting, inner tubing and horse-riding. High mountains, dense primary rainforest, wildlife and empty beaches are just a few of the highlights of this compact and peaceful Latin American republic. For full details see our Rainforest and Volcanoes Itinerary.
Jordan
Crusaders and Camels
This is an adventure full of action! The highlights of this holiday include the jeep safari in the dramatic desert of Wadi Rum (where the movie 'Lawrence of Arabia' was filmed) and the amazing rock-cut city of Petra (featured in the movie 'Indiana Jones and the last crusade'). However there is so much more - from floating in the Dead Sea, to Bedouin-style desert camping, sleeping out under the stars with camel treks, to a visit to Kerak, the Crusader castle, to dipping your toes in the Red Sea at Aqaba. India
Jungle Book
This trip highlights the India of Rudyard Kipling. Arriving in Mumbai (Bombay), you'll fly up to Pench Tiger Reserve, one of the outposts of Project Tiger. The river attracts all the prey and so of course the tiger hangs out here too, and area was the inspiration for Kipling's Jungle Book. From Pench you'll drive to Kanha National Park, one India's largest parks with a huge variety of wildlife for lots of game viewing. Excerpts from the Jungle Book will be read to the children on the banks of the river by a local school teacher. To round out your Indian trip you will take an overnight train to Agra to visit the unforgettable Taj Mahal and fly back to London from Delhi. If you have time you may like to extend your trip either by spending more time in Delhi, or by flying back to Goa and spending some time on the beach. For full details see our Jungle Book Itinerary.
Taj & Tigers
The magic of India is encapsulated in this trip. Explore the thronged bazaars of Old Delhi and see the 'real India' as you travel by train to Ranthambhore, famous for its tiger - watch your children's faces when they first see this magnificent beast in the wild. You'll ride an elephant and stay in the 'Pink City' of Jaipur, then go hunting for exotic birds on a cycle-rickshaw in the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary. Finally watch the sun rise over the Taj Mahal, and see the world's most beautiful building in all its glory. It's a Christmas travel trip your children will remember for ever.
