Your family will embark on an unforgettable African adventure beginning in Victoria Falls, Zambia, where the impressive waters cascade into a 100 metre deep canyon with astonishing force.

Next, travel to the South Luangwa, spending time on game drives and visiting local community projects. Elephants, hippos and giraffes are frequently seen within close proximity and there are also good chances to encounter leopards and other nocturnal mammals on a night drive. 

End your family holiday on a beautiful island, surrounded by the turquoise waters of Lake Malawi, where you can relax on golden sandy beaches, snorkel with colourful fish and choose from a selection of water sports.

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Depart UK

    Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Livingstone, normally via Johannesburg.

  2. Day 2: Arrive Livingstone

    Arrive in Livingstone and transfer to your accommodation on the banks of the Zambezi.

  3. Days 3-4 : Optional activities in Livingstone & Victoria Falls

    Choose from a selection of included activities such as cruises, bird watching and visits to Victoria Falls. The area is famous for adventure sports such as white water rafting, rhino tracking and scenic helicopter flights which can all be arranged locally.

  4. Day 5: To South Luangwa

    This morning, fly to South Luangwa and transfer to your family chalet. Late this afternoon, there will be time for a game drive followed by a night drive where you can search for leopard, lion and other nocturnal residents.

  5. Days 6-9 : Game drives in South Luangwa

    The next four days consist of morning and evening game drives, with afternoons free for relaxing or optional activities.

    Days start with an early breakfast before heading out on safari while the animals are most active, returning to camp late morning in time for some brunch. Afternoons are free to relax by the pool or visit nearby community projects supported by the camp, such as a local community school and textile workshop.

  6. Day 10: Fly to Lake Malawi

    Today you will fly to the small island of Likoma, located in the turquoise waters of Lake Malawi.

  7. Days 11-13 : Lake Malawi

    The next three days are free for you to enjoy the choice of water sports, mountain biking and beaches on the island. 

  8. Day 14: Depart Malawi

    Transfer to the airport in time for your flight back to the UK via Lilongwe, arriving the following morning.

  9. Day 15: Arrive UK
