A tropical adventure for beach loving families, Thailand is a pleasure that all the family will enjoy. Renowned for exotic beaches, friendly people, delicious food and vibrant culture, it's no wonder so many visitors return.

  • Ride in a tuk-tuk
  • Discover colourful temples
  • Experience an overnight train
  • Explore a tropical rainforest
  • Play on fantastic beaches
  • Snorkel with thousands of fish

This itinerary will suit first-time adventurers and experienced explorers alike. You'll explore buzzing Bangkok before an exciting journey on an overnight train to the south. Stay among the chirping wildlife of the rainforest in a traditional lodge. Venture to tropical islands where just beyond the pure white sand beaches you can snorkel in clear, warm waters to see thousands of iridescent fish and brightly coloured coral.

We offer two versions of this itinerary, depending on the season. Our east coast itinerary outlined below operates from May to October. From November to April, the itinerary switches to Thailand's Andaman west coast, taking in the delights of Krabi, with it's limestone karst scenery and beautiful beaches, and the world-famous Phi Phi Island.

The lodge in Khao Sok, where we stay for two nights, is simple and rustic. One night is spent on an overnight sleeper train in 1st class cabins, which have 12 private rooms, each with one upper berth and one lower berth bunk bed. These sleep 2 persons. Where possible, we will book rooms next to or close to each other to keep your family and the rest of the group together. The attendant will make up your bunk with a proper mattress and fresh clean bedding. On occasions where 1st class is not available, you will be accommodated in a 2nd class cabin, where berths are arranged 'open plan' along the coach wall either side of a central aisle.
