Begin your holiday in Cairo where your Egyptologist guide will show you the wonders of the Pyramids of Giza. See a traditional belly dancer on a Nile Cruise and visit the city of Alexandria.
Travel further south to visit the tombs of the Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings and sail on a felucca through the beautiful Aswan scenery. You’ll have the chance to interact with the locals, haggle at a local market and visit a Nubian village and desert Bedouin camp before ending your trip in Marsa Alam where you can relax on the golden sandy beaches and swim and snorkel in the Red Sea.

Day1: Fly to Cairo
On arrival in Cairo, your guide will assist you with your transfer to your hotel.
A city of contrasts, Cairo is home to ancient monuments alongside a modern city-scape; expect a lively, chaotic atmosphere as you arrive in the largest city of the Arab World.
Time permitting, this evening there is an optional visit to the sound and light show at the Pyramids, taking you back thousands of years to learn about the legends and secrets of the ancient world.
Day2: Pyramids & the Egyptian Museum
Start your day with a visit to the three Pyramids. Marvel at the magnificent Sphinx carved out of a single piece of stone, watching over the Giza plateau.
This afternoon, visit the world-famous Egyptian Museum covering 5,000 years of ancient civilization including Tutankhamen’s treasures.
Day3: Day trip to Alexandria
Today, travel north to the city of Alexandria on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast. The city is believed to have been founded by and named after Alexander the Great, connecting the Egyptian and Greco Roman civilizations.
Spend a full day exploring the city, visiting old and modern sites such as Fort Quitbey, the ruins of Serapeum and the famous Alexandria library.
Day4: Fly to Luxor
Take an early morning flight to Luxor and transfer to the Valley of the Kings where you will find a collection of elaborately decorated tombs and underground mausoleums that the ancient Egyptians built for their pharaohs.
This evening, visit the traditional market where you will be able to explore and haggle for souvenirs (optional).
Day5: Felucca cruise
This morning, transfer to Aswan, a scenic laid-back city on the banks of the Nile. Visit the Temple of Philae, located on an island in the reservoir of the Aswan Dam.
Late afternoon, you will board your private felucca for a relaxing cruise along the river, stopping at the Aswan Botanical garden, as well as Elephantine Island where you will see the tombs of the Aswan nobles and stunning reflections of the sand dunes over the Nile.
This evening, visit a Nubian village for a traditional dinner.
Day6: Marsa Alam
Transfer to Marsa Alam, famous for its translucent water and rare species of coral and fish. The rest of the day is at leisure for some much-deserved relaxation at the beach or pool.
Day7: Red Sea snorkelling tour
An early morning transfer takes you to the marina to board your boat and set sail. Visit a protected lagoon, popular with swimmers and snorkellers, where spinner dolphins are often spotted as well as other sea mammals that consider the area their home.
Lunch is prepared by an on-board chef and later on you’ll get the chance to discover many species of fish and coral only found in the Red Sea.
Day8: Desert jeep tour
Morning at leisure. This afternoon, you’ll be taken by a 4x4 jeep into the heart of the desert, stopping along the way for panoramic views and to learn about the desert history before arriving at a Bedouin village for a tour and stories about Bedouin life and traditions.
Try some Bedouin tea followed by a barbeque dinner with traditional entertainment and enjoy some star gazing, as well as the chance to see the desert stars through a powerful telescope before returning to your hotel in Marsa Alam.
Day9: Fly back to the UK
Sadly, it’s the end of your adventure. After breakfast at the hotel, there will be a single-timed group transfer back to the airport.
