Go wildlife watching by boat and on foot in the wetlands and rainforests of Argentina and spend some family time together, surrounded by the sounds of nature in the jungle, with opportunities to learn about conservation. After a visit to the spectacular Iguazu Falls, continue to the Valdes Peninsula, breeding ground for the southern right whale, where you can look for birds, penguins and sea lions. Finally return to Buenos Aires for a bicycle tour of the city’s famous landmarks and a tango show.

Day 1: Depart the UK
Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Arrive Buenos Aires
After some time to recover from the flight, take an afternoon walking tour of the most popular neighbourhoods of the city.

Days 3-4 : Ibera Wetlands
After an early flight to Corrientes, you will be transferred to the Ibera Wetlands Reserve for two nights. This vast landscape of swamps and marshes is home to an abundance of bird and animal life, and you will spend time on short walks, boat safaris, kayaking and night walks to explore the area.

Day 5: Iguazu
Today it is a long drive back from the wetlands and onto Puerto Iguazu, where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Days 6-7 : Iguazu Falls & Yacutinga Reserve
Visit the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls before transferring to your jungle lodge in the Yacutinga Reserve. Here your family can spend some time learning about conservation work, as well as enjoying some bird watching, nature walks and canoeing through the rainforest, all the while surrounded by butterflies and bird life.

Day 8: Iguazu forest tour
Transfer back to Iguazu and, in the afternoon, you will be taken on a forest adventure tour where you will be able to zipline through the treetops and abseil down a waterfall.

Day 9: To Puerto Madryn
After breakfast, fly to Trelew and transfer to Puerto Madryn, gateway to the Valdes Peninsula. The area is known for its sandy beaches and as a breeding ground for southern right whales.

Day 10: Full day tour Peninsula Valdes
Spend the day exploring the Valdes Peninsula where you will be able to see a variety of marine and terrestrial wildlife.

Day 11: Buenos Aires
Fly to Buenos Aires. This evening, enjoy an interactive dining experience with dinner at an Argentinian themed restaurant.

Day 12: Cycling tour of Buenos Aires
Today, take a cycling tour of some of Buenos Aires’ most famous landmarks, such as the fashionable Recoleta neighbourhood, Palermo Woods and the stunning mansions of Barrio Parque. In the evening, enjoy a tango dinner show.

Day 13: Depart Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport for your return overnight flight to the UK.
