A comprehensive journey taking in the unspoilt north of Malawi, the colourful south and stunning Lake Malawi. From Lilongwe you'll drive north to Luwawa Forest. Then it's time for game-viewing at Vwaza Reserve, famed for hippo and elephant, and mountainous Nyika NP. On Lake Malawi's balmy shores you'll explore from a lakeside lodge - we include kayaking, snorkelling and sailing here. Then discover the cool forests of the Zomba Plateau.

- Accommodation is in lodges, chalets and hotels. Though the scenery is beautiful, be prepared for a few long travelling days (four hours plus). The Mt Mulanje Trek can be added as an extension - this is challenging and thus only suitable for active children aged 10 and up.
