From your base, a beautifully-restored traditional villa in the heart of rural Spain, you can choose from a 'menu of walks, activities and learning experiences'. Walk the ancient Camino Real via vineyards, olive and almond fields to traditional whitewashed villages.
You'll experience many aspects of local life: learning crafts, cookery, farming. There's also an evening of star-gazing, plus opportunities for walking, riding and cycling.

- Day 1. Fly to Almeria
- Fly to Almeria (or Granada) and transfer to our Alpujarras base at Mairena.
- Days 2-7. Mairena
- From our converted villa in Mairena choose from a range of activities - horse-riding, guided walks, star-gazing, mountain biking.
- Day 8. Almeria to London.
- Drive Almeria (or Granada). Fly London.
- Is it right for your family?
- Offered virtually all year round and ideal for families looking for a non-commercial area in southern Spain. Centre-based so you can choose how active you want to be with a choice of walks to suit all abilities. Especially suitable for young children as on-site babysitting can normally be offered (the owners of the villa have a young family themselves).
