Borneo is the ideal destination for a family adventure holiday. The third largest island in the world, it's home to some unique wildlife as well as mountains, beaches and one of the world's oldest rainforests.

Begin your holiday at a beach hotel near to Kota Kinabalu. Spend time exploring the local area; go cycling in the countryside, visiting a cultural village and snorkellin in the Marine Park. Next fly to Sandakan where you will stay in rainforest lodges, learning about coservation, meeting local villagers and wildlife watching.

Beach Extension Fly back to Kota Kinabalu for a few more days relaxing on the beach.

Kuala Lumpur break up your flight with a few nights in Kuala Lumpur where you can enjoy a street food tour, city tour, see fireflies or visit the Petronas Towers.

Langkawi Extension Wild jungle and white-sand beaches. Why not spend a few days at the beach with turquoise water and surrounding rainforest? Relax, enjoy water sports, go snorkelling or walk the Sky Bridge for 360 degree views.

Days 1/2. Overnight flight to Kota Kinabalu
Depart from the UK on an overnight flight to Kota Kinabalu. After you arrive the rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax beside the swimming pool or beach.
Day 3. Mari Mari culture experience
Visit the Mari Mari cultural village, where you will be greeted by the village chief and take part in a custom welcome ceremony, before visiting the houses of various tribes to watch local skills and practices. Then watch a fun cultural performance and after lunch return to your beach resort for a free afternoon.
Day 4. Optional rafting in the Kiulu Valley
Today is free for you to spend as you wish. There is the option to take a rafting trip in the Kiulu Valley (not included)
Day 5. Snorkelling trip in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park
Spend the morning and afternoon snorkelling around the tropical coral reefs that fringe the nearby islands. Expect to see a variety of fish and marine life and there's a chance to ride a zip-line between 2 islands.
Day 6. Cycling Tour
Explore the local area by bike. Cycle through rural countryside, riverside, villages, jungle plantation and across hanging bridges.
Day 7. Sepilok, Sunbea & Rainforest Discovery Centre
See the morning feeding session at the orang-utan sanctuary, visit the Sun Bear conservation centre and after lunch, visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre where you will be able to look for wildlife from the canopy walk way.
Day 8. Labuk Bay & Kinbatngan River
Visit the Proboscis monkeys at a local sanctuary before travelling by road to the Kinabatangan River. Visit a local village to learn more about their local customs and traditions before an afternoon river cruise and evening night trek.
Day 9. Culture & Wildlife at the Kinabatangan River
Take an exciting wildlife watching river cruise along the Kinabatangan River, looking out for Proboscis Monkeys, Macaques, Orang-utans and more. Join a guided trek to the Bilit Ox-Bow Lake and in the evening join a local youth group to learn some traditional dancing.
Day 10. Proboscis monkeys, fly Kota Kinabalu
Enjoy a final early morning wildlife river cruise and then drive back to Sandakan airport for onwards flights.
