This varied trip will take you from the coast to the heart of India. To Pench Tiger Reserve and Kanha National Park - the inspiration for Kipling's famous 'Jungle Book'. As well as jeep safaris, you'll have the chance to ride elephants in search of tiger, hyena, monkey and lots of other wildlife.

There's also the fun of an overnight train ride as you head to the Taj Mahal - the greatest monument to love ever built. You can also extend your stay - either with beach time in Goa, or city exploration in Delhi.

Day 1. Fly to Mumbai
Fly to Mumbai (previously Bombay).
Day 2. Arrive Mumbai
Arrive Mumbai. Free to swim or explore.
Day 3/4. Fly to Nagpur; drive to Pench NP
Fly to Nagpur; drive to Pench National Park for game viewing and Jungle Book stories. Drive to Kanha National Park.
Day 5/6. Kanha National Park
Kanha NP; game viewing, evening nature walk and Jungle Book stories.
Day 7. Morning game drive
Morning game drive. Drive to Jabalpur and take overnight train to Agra.
Day 8. In Agra
In Agra, rickshaw ride to visit Taj Mahal. Train to Delhi.
Day 9. Fly to London
Is it right for your family?
Comfortable accommodation is used throughout. There are a couple of longish drives (one of five hours and another of five and a half hours) but seeing Indian life along the way always make this a thrilling experience.
