This classic Himalayan family activity holiday is sure to take your breath away. From chaotic Kathmandu to peaceful Pokhara and the towering peaks of the Annapurnas, this is an unforgettable family adventure.

Combine awesome scenery and adventure in beautiful Nepal. Stretch your legs on a mini-trek in the Himalayas - an expedition into the hills with an overnight stay near a spectacular lookout. Spend time visiting traditional Nepali villages, try white-water rafting on the Trisuli River and explore the jungle at Chitwan National Park by jeep. You'll see sunbathing crocodiles, rhinos, tigers and an abundance of birdlife.

Day 1/2 - Overnight flight to Kathmandu.

Day 3/4 - Walking tour of old Bhaktapur, explore Kathmandu valley.

Day 5 - Village walk or rafting on Trisuli River.

Day 6 - Pokhara - stay in a lakeside hotel.

Day 7/8 - Annapurna trek & traditional Nepali cultural evening.

Day 9 - To Bandipur National Park where you will explore a traditional village.

Day 10 - Royal Chitwan National Park.

Day 11 - See wildlife by canoe & on foot.

Day 12 - Fly to Kathmandu. Free afternoon.

Day 13 - Return flight home.

Days 1/2. Overnight flight to Kathmandu
Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Kathmandu. On arrival you will be driven to the group hotel in Bhaktapur and will have some free time to relax and adjust to your new surroundings, as well as taking an orientation walk of the town and bazaar.
Day 3/4. Walking tour of old Bhaktapur, pottery making, Kathmandu Valley
Explore Bhaktapur on a walking tour and visit a town of artisans called Patan City. Walk to the market place, a centre-piece of Nepalese life, and a UNESCO World heritage site and visit a traditional village.
Day 5. Trisuli Centre, village visit & rafting
Take a scenic drive down to the valley of the Trisuli River. In the afternoon you can take a guided walk around the village or go on a rafting trip on the Trisuli River. Stay overnight in a small riverside village.
Day 6. Continue to Pokhara
Continue westward to the town of Pokhara, where your hotel sits on an island on the lake with panoramic views of the Annapurna mountains. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to relax and explore.
Day 7. Annapurna foothills walk to teahouse.
Set off with your porters and Sherpa along a trail through charming villages in the Annapurna foothills, after which you'll stay in a local teahouse and enjoy sunset views across the Himalayan foothills.
Day 8. Himalayan sunrise. Walk to Pokhara.
After enjoying sunrise views of the Himalayas, descend to Phewa Tal, the lake at Pokhara, stopping at a small village en route. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to prepare for a Nepali party to which all your trekking staff and some children from the local area are invited.
Day 9. Drive to Bandipur and explore village
Set off for the lowland jungles and the traditional settlement of Bandipur, where our hotel is situated in a classic location in the heart of Nepal's middle hills. In the afternoon take a walk in the town and a lesson in making dal baht, a traditional Nepalese dish.
Day 10. Royal Chitwan National Park
Drive to Chitwan National Park, which lies at the foot of the Himalaya and is the habitat of the Bengal Tiger, the rare Asian Rhino and other wildlife. In the afternoon go out on a 'rhino watch' safari to hopefully encounter this awesome mammal at close quarters.
Day 11. See wildlife by canoe and on foot
Take dug-out canoes to see sun-bathing crocodile and birdlife that thrive in these Eden-evoking flood plains. Explore the nature trails on foot, seeking out bush buck, spotted deer, monkeys and more.
Day 12. To Chitwan airport, fly to Kathmandu
Return to Kathmandu by air on a classic flight over the Himalayan foothills for 45 minutes before a road transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is free to explore the city.
Day 13. Fly to UK
Fly back to the UK from Kathmandu Airport.
