- There is no doubt that seeing a gorilla face to face in the wild is an exhilarating experience. However, tracking gorillas needs patience and a level of fitness to cope with the steep slopes and uneven terrain. Although younger children can accompany the trip they will not be able to participate with the gorilla or chimpanzee treks. Alternative activities can be provided.
