On this driving adventure you'll explore the warm south of Morocco: the beautiful Dades Gorge, the market at Rissani and the Sahara itself, where you'll ride camels among the magnificent dunes of the Merzouga Sand Sea. You can share sweet mint tea with the local desert-dwelling people here, learn Berber singing and drums or even have a go at baking bread in the sand! Finally explore the amazing kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
- Day 1. Fly to Ouarzazate.
- Day 2/3. Dades Gorge.
- Drive to Dades Gorge; guided walk and learn Berber drums.
- Day 4. Rissani Market & Merzouga Sand Sea.
- Drive via Rissani Market to the Merzouga Sand Sea.
- Day 5. Explore the dunes.
- Explore the dunes on foot and by camel; bake bread in the sand.
- Day 6. Tazzarine.
- Drive to Tazzarine; camp in nomad tents and have mint tea with local family.
- Day 7. Ouarzazate.
- Drive to Ouarzazate.
- Day 8. Ouarzazate.
- Ouarzazate; visit Ait Benhaddou kasbah.
- Day 9. Fly to London

Suitable for children from five and up. To get off the beaten track we use a mix of modest hotels, auberges and desert camps. There are no demanding activities, but life in the desert can sometimes appear harsh. This is a real adventure - an alternative way of exploring the desert to our Sahara Dune Adventure.
