Staying at the beach in the small community of Ahangama on Sri Lanka's south coast, you'll be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Your stay here allows an opportunity to mingle with local people through the 'Back to Life' project - set up to provide housing and schooling for villagers.
You can explore wildlife sanctuaries, enjoy a cookery demonstration and visit a weekly market. If you're looking for activities, there's excellent surfing here, as well as beach volleyball, cycling, diving...

- At Beach Club. Various activities available or excursions (extra) into the surrounding area such as cycling, visits to wildlife sanctuaries, jungle trekking, cookery demonstration, walking, yoga...
- Day 9. Colombo to London
- Drive to Colombo. Fly to London.

- Accommodation is comfortable. 30 airconditioned rooms, a swimming pool, kids' pool and restaurant. Sports facilities available at the club include water polo, beach volleyball, beach football, cricket and frisbee. Indoors there's chess, drafts, pool, table-tennis. There are lots of optional activities and tours to choose from too.
- Maldives Dive Extension.
- Spend a week diving at Kuredu in the Maldives. Our 7-day Dive Extension uses great accommodation in a paradise location. Kuredu is known for its whitesand beaches, aquamarine lagoons and abundant marine life. Thatched bungalows and spacious villas line the beach in this all-inclusive resort which has several restaurants, bars and shops. Within an hour's boat-ride are more than 40 dive sites with boat excursions three to five times daily and guided night dives several times a week.
