Then head into the unspoilt villages of the Western Atlas for a few delightful days of walking beneath high peaks, amongst walnut, banana and olive groves. The area is seldom visited by tourists and life just seems to have stood still for centuries. A very popular trip for families seeking something different.

Fly to Agadir; drive to Taroudant.
Day 2. Taroudant
Taroudant; city tour and exploration of bazaar.
Day 3. Drive to mountain
Drive to mountain riad in Western Atlas village. Expore on foot.
Day 4. Imoulas
Walk to nearby village of Imoulas.
Day 5/6. Two day walk
Two day walk with overnight stays in Berber villages.
Day 7. Drive to Taroudant
Drive to Taroudant; free for shopping & souvenir hunting.
Day 8. Drive to Agadir.
Drive to Agadir; fly to London.
Is it right for your family?
This trip is suitable for kids aged 5 upwards. Mules are available for riding as required. A relatively short flight takes you to see a radically different culture.

If you have time, we highly recommend extending your stay to visit the atmospheric old port of Essaouira. The faded grandeur of its colonial past, countless craft shops and winding alleyways make it a must for travellers.
