Staying at the Hotel Das Cataratas

This is the only hotel in the Brazilian side of the Iguassu National Park. A former Portuguese colonial style hotel that overlooks Iguassu Falls. Facilities available at the hotel include a spa, tennis courts, and an a large swimming pool and smaller children's pool, bar and restaurants. Panoramic viewing walkways start in front of the hotel and zig-zag their way down to the end of Devil's Throat.

There are 193 rooms and suites, surrounded by tropical gardens and a forested area with nature walks and trails to explore. Guests may enjoy exclusive access to the magnificent falls in the evening or at dawn when the park is closed to other visitors. A popular excursion is the full moon walking tour with specialised guide. Other excursions and activities included white-water rafting, abseiling, rock and tree climbing, helicopter flights over the falls, jungle treks. There are children's programmes available too.
